Our R56 Cooper S with 139684 miles on it was purchased after a customer brought it into us with a catastrophic timing chain failure, caused by the vacuum pump loosing lubrication and subsequently locking the camshaft up. In turn cleanly snapping off the exhaust Vanos Hub bolt.
Catching up to the now, we removed the head, replaced all valves, stem seals, aqua blasted the head, checked for damage to the bores and pistons. and rebuilt with new gaskets and bolts. We also replaced the turbo wastegate and vacuum pump.
She runs and drives very well and is ready for the next stages of gentle tweaks, preparing for a trackday in November
